Brampton pedestrian in life-threatening condition after they were struck by a car

A pedestrian is fighting for their life after they were struck by a car in Brampton.
A car of unknown make struck the pedestrian shortly before 9:15 July 12 at Steeles Ave E and Kennedy Rd S. The area around the intersection is hybrid in nature with apartment buildings, shopping centres and a gas station nearby.
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to hospital in life-threatening condition. Police have not described the vehicle, the injured person or the circumstances of the crash.
Steeles Ave E remains closed between Kennedy Rd and Hartford Tr until future notice as police investigate.
