Performing Arts Brampton has a new name for its June to December 2023 season with musical acts, performances and much more planned this summer.

Now known as Brampton On Stage, the rebrand comes with the unveiling of the lineup for the upcoming season which includes a wide range of performances by Canadian rock legends, stand-up comics, musicians, performance artists and actors.

One of the most highly anticipated performances is a modern Shakespeare’s Hamlet starring Canadian-Pakistani superstar Ahad Raza Mir in the title role.

“This production is a furious, fast-paced Hamlet for our times, an electrifying tale of unhinged vengeance and tainted love that will thrill both purist and modern Shakespearean fans,” Brampton On Stage said of the show which will have a one-week run at The Rose Brampton theatre in October.

There is also a new series called Stage Door Stories that will feature intimate conversations and performances from musical icons like Ashley MacIsaac and Burton Cummings of The Guess Who.

Brampton On Stage is also hosting a free Friday Night Live concert series in Garden Square with artists like JUNO Award-winning Brampton reggae artist Kirk Diamond, live band karaoke, an East Coast Kitchen Party, a Spice Girls Tribute act and much more.
