Brampton man’s lottery win comes after playing for 12 years

A Brampton resident’s big win finally came after playing the lottery for over a decade.
OLG congratulated Gurdev Pharwaha for winning $50,000 in the February 11, 2023 Daily Keno draw.
Pharwaha, who works as a baker, thought he had won just $50 at first.
“When I took a closer look and noticed I won $50,000, I had to scan it four more times before believing it was real. I was shocked and very happy,” said the Brampton man, who’s been playing the lottery for 12 years.
He plans to go for a celebratory dinner with his wife and kids, and save the rest of his winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Circle K store on Richvale Drive in Brampton.
