Brampton man one of four charged in a cocaine, LSD and psychedelic mushroom drug bust

A Brampton man is one of four people charged in an Orangeville drug bust.

The four people were charged in an ongoing drug investigation that culminated in a bust today (Oct. 24), OPP said in a press release.

The OPP’s Dufferin Community Street Crime Unit along with the Canine Unit searched a home in Orangeville.

Officers seized over a half kilogram of cocaine, psilocybin (psychedelic mushrooms), Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), drug paraphilia, a cellphone, scale, and over $6,000 in cash, police said.

Four people were charged with the following offences:

Todd Starr, 58, from Orangeville, has been charged with:

  • Traffick in Schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking – (two counts)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5,000

Edward MacNeil, 46, from Brampton has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine

Garrett Hilts, 55, from Grand Valley has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine

Mason Biggin, 35, from Orangeville has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine

All four are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville sometime in December 2022.
