Brampton man found to be in possession of loaded firearm: Police

A Brampton man is facing multiple firearm-related charges following a recent police investigation.

At 11:28 p.m. on Friday, April 8, uniform patrol officers investigated a vehicle in the area of Bovaird Drive and Great Lakes Drive in Brampton.

“During the course of the investigation, one of the occupants in the vehicle was found in possession of a loaded firearm,” said police.

19 year old Brampton man Jazonte Campbell has been charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing There was Unauthorized Possession Of A Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of A Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing Its Possession Is Unauthorized
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Careless Storage of Firearm
  • Possession of A Firearm Knowing That its Possession Is Unauthorized

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Saturday.
