A 26-year-old man from Brampton is facing a charge of attempted murder using a firearm in connection with a shooting in Caledon last month.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Caledon detachment issued a warrant for Johnathan Rodrigues last week in connection with the incident. He was arrested on July 10.

He was also charged with possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling.

Officers found a 40-year-old Mississauga man with a gunshot wound at the scene of the incident. He sustained serious physical injuries.

A second victim, a 26-year-old man from Brampton, was found later at another location. He had minor injuries.

None of the allegations are proven in court.

Rodrigues was held for a bail hearing and is expected to appear in an Orangeville, Ont., court at a later date.
