Brampton man faces rash of gun charges after Mississauga traffic stop

A Brampton man is facing a half-dozen charges after police recovered a loaded handgun during a traffic stop in Mississauga last night (March 10).

Peel Regional Police say officers pulled over a vehicle near Mid-Way Blvd. and Columbus Rd. at about 7:30 p.m.

A subsequent search of the car found one of the occupants to be armed with a loaded gun, identified as a fully-loaded Sig Sauer 9mm pistol.

Nehemiah Andre, 35, of Brampton, is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm and several other related offences.

He was held for a bail hearing in Brampton court.
