Police have charged a Brampton man with stalking and weapons charges after allegedly following a woman home, and investigators believe there may be more victims.

In the early morning hours of Nov. 26, 2021 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Peel Regional Police say a 19 year-old woman was approached by an unknown male driving a white four-door white sedan at a Mississauga Transit bus stop in the area of Britannia Road West and McLaughlin Road.

The driver reportedly offered the woman a ride home, which the woman refused.

Police say the man then followed the victim home and confronted her while brandishing a weapon.

The male fled the area after seeing approaching vehicles, and police say the victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

On Feb. 12, 38-year-old Paramjit Dhanaser of Brampton was arrested and charged with Criminal Harassment (Stalking) and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Police say Dhanaser appeared for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Feb. 13.

Investigators are encouraging any witnesses and victims of this incident to come forward to police.

Peel Regional Police are asking anyone with information or who may have had contact with Paramjit Dhanaser to call investigators at (905)453-2121 ext. 1133.
