A Brampton man is facing charges following a recent stabbing.

A Brampton man is facing charges following a recent stabbing.

Around 4:42 p.m. on Friday, August 30, police say there was a physical altercation between several men at a convenience store near Main Street North and Church Street East.

“The victim, a 36-year-old man, tried to intervene and was stabbed by one of the men who then fled the scene,” police say.

The victim was taken to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

On Saturday, September 7, police arrested and charged a 26 year old Brampton man with aggravated assault and breach of recognizance.

The accused is set to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Sunday, September 8.
