Brampton man arrested by Niagara police for human trafficking in Burlington

One Brampton man is in police custody following a human trafficking investigation that stretched from Niagara all the way to Burlington.
The investigation conducted by Niagara Regional Police (NRP) revealed that a woman was being trafficked throughout the Niagara and Halton Regions.
Halton Regional Police assisted NRP’s Human Trafficking Unit in their investigation into the trafficking of the woman.
Today (Sept 10), 40-year-old Patrick Boyd Park was arrested in Burlington and charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in persons by exercising control
- Procuring
- Advertising another person’s sexual services
- Extortion
- Utter threats
- Forcible confinement
Park is being held in custody pending a video bail hearing, which is expected to take place on Sept. 10 at the John Sopinka Courthouse in Hamilton.
Detectives believe there could be more victims associated with this investigation. Police say Park was involved in the adult entertainment industry known as “Luca” or “Lukas”.
