Brampton man arrested after fail-to-remain accident leaves victim with ‘life altering’ injuries

A Brampton man has been charged after a fail to remain collision in the city last month that left a woman with life-altering injuries.

The victim, a 44 year-old Brampton woman, was crossing the road near the intersection of Dearbourne Boulevard and Dorchester Drive just before seven a.m. on October 21 when she was struck by a motor vehicle.

The vehicle ran through a stop sign at the intersection and the driver fled the area.

The woman was transported to a trauma centre, and she has experienced ‘life-altering’ injuries.

Brian Arsenault, 54, was arrested November 1 and charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, failure to stop after accident resulting in bodily harm and public mischief.

He was subsequently released on a Promise to Appear with a first appearance date of January 9, 2023.
