An aspiring restaurateur is Brampton’s latest lottery winner, claiming $100,000 in the OLG’s Instant Big 10 game.

Gagandeep Bhutani, 33, describes himself as a world traveler and transportation manager, and said he’s a regular lottery player who loves instant games.

“When I scanned my ticket, I thought it was a popup at first – then I checked it again and saw the same screen and realized it was real.”

Bhutani said he went to tell his roommate who was making a sandwich to leave it because breakfast was on him.

This win will bring Bhutani closer to his goal of opening his own business.

“I’ve been saving my money and working toward opening my own restaurant. This win is an excellent buffer to have as I build my business.”

Before that, however, Bhutani intends to splurge a little.

“I will celebrate with three days of fun in Dubai for my next holiday,” he said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Goreway Drive in Mississauga.
