Brampton Local Author’s Showcase and book fair come to the farmers market this weekend

The works of Brampton writers will be on full display at the farmers market this weekend for the Local Author’s Showcase and book fair.
On Saturday (June 18), a portion of the Brampton Farmers’ Market in Gage Park will be transformed into a literary who’s who of Brampton authors.
From children’s books and poetry collections to romance novels and short stories, the works of more than 50 Brampton-based writers will be featured at the event.
Local writers will be in attendance for attendees to visit with, and more than 80 titles are available for local bookworms to dig into.
Thirty-five of those titles are e-books for more tech savvy readers to download and read digitally on the library’s cloud platform.
This year marks the fifth time the event has been held in Brampton, and the first time the showcase book fair has been held at the farmers’ market.

Brampton Library staff will be on site to answer questions about summer programs, and the event will feature games and prizes for guests.
The Brampton Farmers’ Market and Local Author’s Showcase runs on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
