A collaboration between Brampton’s library and the historical society is bringing some fun, education and a chance to win prizes to local residents.

Participants in Brampton Library’s Adult Summer Reading Club (ASRC) can participate in the Then & Now Photo Challenge, held in partnership with the Brampton Historical Society.

Each Thursday until August 26, registered ASRC members will be emailed an historical photo of a Brampton location.

The challenge is then to go to the location of the original, historical photo featured in that week’s email and send back an original, present-day photo of the same location by the following Monday.

Each photo submitted will earn an extra ballot into the bi-weekly prize draw for a $25 gift card. In addition, the best photo of the week will earn an extra ballot into the top grand prize draw for a $250 Downtown Brampton BIA gift card and will be featured on social media channels.

The ASRC is for adults aged 19 and over and allows participants to log books, complete online bingo, attend virtual programs and enjoy chances to win prizes all summer.

Register by Sept. 7 for a chance to win one of several grand prizes, including $100 gift certificates to Apple Factory Country Grocer,Downtown Brampton BIA, Ritual Yoga House, Skip the Dishes and President’s Choice. The grand prize is a $250 gift card to the Downtown Brampton BIA.
