Are you like most people and have a couple of old laptops, phones or other unwanted or broken electronics taking up space?
If so, a pair of local libraries might be able to help you out.
Gore Meadows and Cyril Clark library branches are taking donations of used, broken and unwanted laptops, cell phones, and other electronic devices to be safely recycled or refurbished and circulated back to the community.
The electronics will be donated to individuals and families in need to help bridge the growing digital divide.
There will also be a metal e-waste bin to collect other unwanted indoor/outdoor household metal items that weigh 35lbs or less.
Data erase service will be provided for donated computers and a table will be set up to accept client applications.
Donations are being accepted at Gore Meadows branch, 10150 The Gore Rd., Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They are also being accepted at Cyril Clark branch, 20 Loafers Lake Ln., Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
