Today (June 3), the City of Brampton launched a new website that provides as an online resource for local businesses, entrepreneurs and potential foreign investors.
The new website, InvestBrampton.ca, is a place where information may be accessed and provides resources they need to locate or grow their business in the City of Brampton.
The new website was highlighted as an immediate action in the City’s Economic Recovery Strategy.
With a large focus on interactivity, the website makes it easy to access information quickly and connect with expert advisors.
New features include a central resources page, a site selection tool and access to the new investment services team who provides a personalized service for potential investors as well as chat capability.
On May 13, Brampton Council approved the Economic Recovery Strategy as a framework for the City to move forward with restarting the local economy.
The Mayor’s COVID-19 Economic Support Task Force guided the development of the City’s Economic Recovery Strategy.
It will be achieved by implementing actions under Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Investment, Infrastructure, and Arts and Culture & Tourism.
Other initiatives recently launched to support Brampton’s economic recovery include the City’s Support Local campaign and digital ShopHERE program.
“As we continue our work on Brampton’s economic recovery, retaining and expanding our current businesses, and bringing new investment into our City will be key focuses for us,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.
“This new website is one of the ways we’ll help support our existing businesses and highlight the many benefits Brampton offers as an ideal investment location!”
Currently, Brampton is home to almost 74,000 businesses.
In 2019, the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre conducted almost 1,000 small business consultations and handled over 10,000 small business inquiries.
