Brampton launches first-ever Summer Artist Market

Brampton’s inaugural Summer Artist Market is offering up a way to shop local while supporting homegrown Brampton artists.

The Rose Brampton theatre will host the first-ever Summer Artist Market this Saturday (July 16), with the works of 25 Brampton artists and local arts organizsations available for purchase.

The event is put on by Brampton’s Arts, Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency (ACCIDA), and offers a chance for Brampton residents to pick up a wide range of local artworks including paintings, prints, ceramics, jewellery, all while mingling and enjoying live music by DJ ROSHANIE.

Local artists and vendors at the market include ArtisanWorks, The inPrint Collective, the Brampton Quilters Guild, Visual Arts Brampton, Broadening Horizons and 905ink among many more.

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown encouraged residents to take in the Summer Artist Market as a way to shop and support local and connect with Brampton artists and arts organizations.”

“The Arts, Culture and Creative Industry Development Agency continues its tremendous work to connect with Brampton’s arts community,” Brown said in a statement.

Guests at the market still looking for even more ways to shop local can take a stroll from The Rose to the Brampton Farmers’ Market in Gage Park.
The Summer Artist Market runs on July 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the Brampton Farmers’ Market is open from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
