One man is in hospital after a Brampton hit-and-run on Wednesday morning.

Peel Regional Police say an adult male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of Gore Rd. and Ebenezer Rd. around 6:30 a.m.

The driver reportedly took off after the crash, and the victim was unconscious and breathing when he was assessed on scene by Peel Paramedics.

While police say the vehicle did not remain at the scene of the crash, the victim was unable to provide a description of the vehicle and investigators had no suspect information immediately available.

The pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries and was being transported to a local hospital, police said.

Wednesday’s crash was just the latest Brampton hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in a little over the last month, as police are also asking the public for help locating a vehicle in a hit and run in November.

Police are still searching for the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a 22-year-old woman who was using a crosswalk at Steeles Ave. and Finch Ave. around 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 26.

The woman was transported to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries, and police say the driver fled the scene.

The vehicle involved in this incident is believed to be a dark coloured Mercedes C or E class, model year 2013.

Police say the vehicle could have damage to the front passenger side.

And on Tuesday morning, a female pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver in Mississauga.

In that crash the driver of the vehicle did remain at the scene, and the woman was reportedly trapped underneath the vehicle.

Police said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the major collision bureau was investigating the crash.
