Brampton girl in hospital after being hit by driver

A Brampton teen was rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the area of Thorndale Rd. and Rouge St. just before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning after a female pedestrian was hit by a motorist.
A spokesperson with Peel Paramedics confirmed the girl was transported to SickKids Hospital in Toronto, but was unable to comment on the extent of her injuries.
Police said the victim is under 16-years-old and her parents have been made aware of the incident. The driver remained on scene, and roadways in the area will remain closed “until he extent of her injuries are known,” police said.
