Brampton G1 driver charged after going wrong direction on highway, sliding into ditch

Provincial police laid charges over the long weekend after a highway accident involving a novice driver from Brampton.

On Sunday morning (Feb. 18), Mississauga OPP said a driver was found going the wrong way on Hwy. 403, travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes and dodging vehicles along the way.

The vehicle eventually slid into a ditch.

No injuries were reported.

The G1 driver from Brampton has been charged with impaired driving over 80 and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Police did not identify the driver.
