Video posted on Reddit captured the incident as an unidentified man in Brampton was getting his children loaded into an SUV, which was parked in a residential driveway in the Herkes Drive and Lockwood Road area.

After putting a baby in the back seat of the SUV, the father goes off camera briefly as a car driving nearby comes to a stop to let a passenger wearing a white face mask and black hoodie jump out.

As the masked man gets into the SUV and begins to put it in reverse, the Brampton father runs to the passenger door with a second child still in his arms and confronts the alleged carjacker.

The father yells some expletives at the alleged car thief who quickly reversed the SUV before exiting the vehicle and running to the waiting car which fled the scene.

As the car speeds off, the SUV with the 10-month-old baby still in the back seat slowly rolls forward into the garage door as the father pulls out a cell phone to contact police.

The entire incident lasted less than a minute, and police are investigating.
