Brampton driver facing charges after attempting to flee police in stolen vehicle

A 29-year-old driver from Brampton is in custody after attempting to flee from police in a stolen vehicle.

The individual was driving on highway 407 in a red GMC Denali when OnStar disabled the vehicle, according to OPP.

The driver then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by OPP officers with assistance from Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), Oakville District.

The 29-year-old has been charged with 16 offences including Possession of property, dangerous flight, and possession of identity documents.
