Police in southern Ontario say the driver of an SUV involved in a crash that killed five young siblings has died in hospital from his injuries.
The Brampton man was the lone person in the SUV when it collided northwest of Kitchener last week with a passenger van carrying 10 people, including a family from Elmira, Ont.
In a news release today, Ontario Provincial Police say the 42-year-old died in hospital on Tuesday.
Four girls and one boy, between the ages of four and 12, died in the June 12 crash.
Investigators said an infant, the children’s parents and two older adults suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious.
A funeral service for the children was scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
