Police have suspended a driver from Brampton after he was allegedly clocked going nearly 100 km/h over the limit in a 60 km/h zone.

In a post to Twitter just after 10:00 p.m. on Monday, the Waterloo Regional Police Service says officers pulled over a driver on McQueen Shaver Blvd. in Cambridge.

Police say officers stopped the driver for speeding 156 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

“G2 license holder from Brampton had to find another way home tonight,” police said on Twitter.

The male driver was charged with stunt driving, speeding and careless driving, police said. The driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle was also impounded.
