Brampton detached home sells for nearly $250,000 under asking

A Brampton home has sold for nearly a quarter million dollars under the evaluated asking price.
The four bedroom, four bathroom home at 38 Sandyshores Dr. sold for $249,000 under asking. It Was on the market at 1,399,000 for just 35 days before being snapped up at $ 1,150,000.
With approximately 2,526 square feet of living space on a 34 x 109 foot lot, the property previously sold in 2007 for just $365,000 according to HouseSigma.com.
The detached two-story home features coffered ceilings in the living room and dining areas, and a fireplace in the main floor family room. The eat-in kitchen has a breakfast bar with a walk-out to the backyard and new appliances, and there’s also a spacious unfinished basement with separate entrance.
With the Brampton the real estate market cooling recently, it’s becoming less common for homes to sell over the asking price.
Earlier this month, a home in Brampton’s Mayfield Village community sold for nearly $300,000 under asking. Selling for $1,500,000 last month, the house was last listed at $1,799,900.
