Around the clock COVID vaccination is a possibility in Brampton if all of the resources can be found.

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown says the locations that have been set up across Peel Region will be able to vaccinate 20,000 people each day, but have the capacity to handle 40,000 if there is an abundance of the supply of the medication and the personnel that can deliver it.

“As far as I am concerned, as long as we have supply, open them (the vaccination sites) as long as you can,” said Brown. “Frankly we could do 24/7 if you have the staff to do it. The challenge is the supply. It’s not the willingness to have the vaccine infrastructure. The big issue is supply, supply, supply.”

The mayor went on to stay he would push for the vaccination program to its capacity of 40,000 a day if the supply becomes available.
