Brampton, Caledon or Mississauga residents can win prizes in an upcoming callout for stories of home.

The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) is looking for contributors for the Stories of Home core exhibition planned for 2023.

“Whether you are new to the area, or your family has been here for generations – we want to hear from you,” PAMA says in a press release.

They will take submissions this summer and early fall.

Some responses from visitors include:

Home is where I am safe and free to be my most authentic self. Home is where love is.”

“Home is wherever my head falls, and peace and security took me in and awake me”

“Home is my favourite place, time with family and dear ones. Sharing memories and lots of laughter”

People can share their stories online through the Share your story now  website. The website prompts with questions such as “What is your favourite part about living in Peel? What are some things that come to mind when you think of your life in Peel?”

Those who participate can receive a PAMA Prize Pack (bag, pen and notebook). Prize packs must be picked up from PAMA at 9 Wellington St. E. Brampton.

PAMA is also offering free admission at this time.

The August exhibitions include Peter Powning: A Retrospective, Regalia: Indigenous Pride, Bidemi Oloyede: I Am Hu(e)man, and Sedna: Inuit Goddess of the Sea.

There are also free drop-in activities for families.

Visit the PAMA website for more information.
