Now that December is in full swing, many of us are preparing for the holiday season.

Whether that’s shopping for others, treating yourself or simply finding ways to get into the festive spirit, Bramalea City Centre located at 25 Peel Centre Dr. in Brampton is a one-stop shop for all your holiday needs this year.

Photos with Santa

Need some festive photos taken? No problem. Santa Claus will be on-site in the Sparkle Station, located at Hudson’s Bay Court from now until Dec. 24 to pose with families and friends by reservation only ahead of the holidays.

For only $34.95, guests will get a total of five digital photos which can be used in annual Christmas cards or even to deck out social media pages with Insta-worthy shots alongside Jolly old Saint Nick.

A portion of the photo sales will also be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Peel, so you’ll be able to spread some holiday cheer while also supporting a good cause. Photo Ops for Furry Friends

Santa will also be posing with pets this holiday season for those who want to show off a photo of their furry friends on social media. On Dec. 11 and 18, residents can book a photo session with Santa and find out if their pets are on the naughty or nice list this year.

Bookings will include a digital download of all the photos taken during the visit. Guests will also have the option to bring their own still and video cameras, as well.

Sensitive Photo Experiences

For families with children that have sensory processing challenges, Santa will also be available to take photos in a calmer setting. This will offer families and children a quieter photography session before the shops open to the public. It will also ensure an experience with minimal noise from crowds with lights turned down low.

Space is limited for photos with Santa, though, so make sure to book ahead.

Meet and Greet with Mr. Claus

Meet and greets will also be available with Santa on Dec. 12 and 19, for those who simply want to spend time with him without having their photos taken.

Along with holiday music that guests can sing along to while they walk around and shop, they will be able to enjoy the holiday décor located throughout the mall. This includes reindeer at the front entrance by Forever 21 and a big tree in front of Decathlon.

Insta-Worthy Décor

And, for even more photo ops, the mall will also feature “selfie stations” where guests will be able to take advantage of the holiday décor. So, get dressed up in your best winter outfits and have a blast making memories and taking photos that you can cherish for years to come.

While the mall has lots of indoor décor, guests will also have a chance to experience holiday magic outdoors when the sun goes down. This is when they can best enjoy the twinkly lights and experience the magic of the winter season in all of its glory.

Wide Selection of Stores

Along with the wide variety of stores, Bramalea City Centre is welcoming several new ones this holiday season, both permanent and temporary for the holidays.

New stores include an urban streetwear store from Quebec called WLKN, a kitchen supply store called Stokes, Activate Games, which features fun, digital interactive games for the whole family and JD Sports for all your sporting and athletic needs.

Several specialty stores have also opened ahead of the holiday season including Fruit of the Land, Hickory Farms, Calendar Club and a pop-up called RevolutionHER, featuring women-owned businesses.

Giving Back to the Community

While the holidays are a time to enjoy with loved ones, it’s important to give back to the community whenever possible.

This is why Bramalea City Centre has partnered with Peel Regional Police (PRP) and the Salvation Army to collect donations for children and teens in need this holiday season. As a result, they have set up a Toys for Tots festive donation space in the mall which is accepting new/unused and unwrapped toys.

Located on the lower level near Roots and Guess, guests are being encouraged to drop off a gift (if they can) that will help out a family in need this holiday season

Don’t forget to grab a snack or hot beverage to keep you warm while you shop until you drop, or if you’re heading outdoors to enjoy the holiday décor illuminating the exterior of the mall.

Extended Holiday Hours

To make sure residents have enough time to shop and enjoy the holiday ambiance, Bramalea City Centre will have special, extended hours. The mall will be open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
