Boy dies after suffering medical episode while playing basketball in Milton

A 14-year-old boy has passed away after suffering a medical episode while playing basketball in Milton.

Constable Ryan Anderson, Halton police’s Media Relations Officer, told inhalton.com that the incident occurred yesterday (Aug. 4) at approximately 5:40 p.m.

“Life-saving measures were attempted, however, they were not successful,” said Anderson.

“The boy was transported to the hospital where, sadly, he was pronounced deceased. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young boy during this tragic and difficult time,” concluded Anderson.

There is no ongoing police investigation into this incident.
