James Marlowe of Bowmanville has that ‘6/49 feeling’ after winning a Guaranteed $1 Million Prize in the February 2 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

Marlowe, a 29 year-old outdoor enthusiast and dog lover, said he was at the store purchasing a chocolate bar and noticed the upcoming LOTTO 6/49 jackpot was high, so he decided to buy a ticket.

“I scanned the ticket using the OLG App and saw Big Winner appear on the screen. I was in disbelief and had to figure out how this happened,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I started to check winning numbers, and that’s when I realized I won the guaranteed prize!”

He plans to make some wise investments with his windfall. “Luckily, my dad can help me with that – he always said dividends never sleep, so I’m in good hands with him.” He also wants to get a dog. “Next step for me is finding my furry best friend.”

Marlowe said the whole experience felt surreal. “It feels amazing – I am so grateful.”

OLG is booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
