Both Niagara Region school boards have six schools each affected by COVID-19 cases

After just two schools having active COVID-19 cases in the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) last Friday, the number has jumped to six school plus one at the DSBN headquarters this week.

It’s a very similar situation at the Niagara Catholic District School Board (NCDSB) as they are showing six schools with active cases, compared to three this time last week.

Cases in the DSBN were found at Eden (two cases, zero closed classrooms), the Education Centre (one case), Grapeview (two cases, two closed classrooms), John Brant (three cases, two closed classrooms), Lincoln Centennial (three cases, two closed classrooms), Lockview (one case, one closed classroom) and Stevensville (one case, one closed classroom).

The NCDSB cases were at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School (one case, one closed classroom), Mary Ward Catholic Elementary School (one case, one closed classroom), Monsignor Clancy Catholic Elementary School (one case, one closed classroom), Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School (one case, zero closed classrooms), Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School  (one case, one closed classroom) and St. Denis Catholic Elementary School (one case, zero closed classrooms).
