Body of deceased female located in Pickering

Police are investigating after a dead body was located in north Pickering on Sunday (Feb. 20).

At approximately 10:30 p.m., the body of a deceased female was located in a densely wooded area near Pickering Concession Road 9 and Sideline 28.

“Members of our Major Crime – Homicide Unit have taken carriage of the investigation and this death is being treated as suspicious,” said police.

Forensic Investigators have been called in to assist and a post mortem will be conducted to confirm the victim’s identity.
