A boater has been reported missing in a major Ontario lake.
Essex County OPP officers reported today that a boater has gone missing on the Canadian side of Lake St. Clair, a key lake dividing southern Ontario from the U.S.
Yesterday (June 6), police responded to a missing boater report in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
Police stated that the incident occured near 7:43 p.m., when the overdue boater was last seen struggling in the waters of Lake St. Clair.
At the time of publication, the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre and the Canadian Coast Guard are currently searching for the boater.
No further details have been provided by law enforcement on the identity of the boater.
