The Region of Durham will entirely shut down the Bloor Street East and Wilson Road South intersection for the week of October 21 to 25. The Region may extend the closure if weather proves unfavourable.

The city is installing a new feeder main beneath the busy intersection, which runs concurrent to Highway 401 one block from the on-ramp.

These are Regional Roads, RR’s 35 and 22 respectively and fall under regional jurisdiction. The project will run until December with intermittent closures in the area throughout that time.

Local traffic and emergency vehicles are exempt from the closure and local business will remain open.
