An Extended Heat Warning was issued by Hamilton’s medical officer on Monday (Aug. 23).

Heat and humidity is expected to thought the middle of the week with temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius and humidex values topping 40.

Night-time temperatures will sit in the low 20s.

The City of Hamilton and participating community agencies are responding to the heat by offering “cool places” to go during all stages of a heat event.

These locations can be identified by a “Cool Down Here” sign at the entrance.
