Blackout leaves almost 1,800 customers in the dark in Brampton

Nearly 1,800 homes and businesses were left in the dark on Wednesday morning due to a power outage.
Alectra Utilities said shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday that there was a blackout in the area of Mayfield Road and Goreway Drive to McVean Drive over to The Gore Road.
The outage left some 1,790 homes and businesses without power for approximately half an hour before Alectra says service was restored.
Anyone in the impacted area still experiencing an outage is asked to call 1-833-ALECTRA.
