Stopping to fill up the tank has made a Brampton father and realtor $100,000 richer.

Rabel Bhimani is a realtor from Brampton who has been a regular lottery player for around 10 years and his favourite game is The Big Spin.

Bhimani said he was leaving an open house when he stopped at a gas station to fill his gas tank and decided to pick up some lottery tickets as well.

“I played my tickets in the store and handed it to the cashier. When I saw Big Winner appear, it was such an exciting moment, my hands were so shaky – I couldn’t believe it,” Bhimani said while picking up his winnings at the OLG prize centre in Toronto.

The 35-year-old father of one said he is used to seeing people win big because his parents used to own a convenience store. Bhimani said he recently purchased a house, so he plans to use his winnings towards renovations and purchase a vacation for his parents.

“I feel very privileged to win such a big amount. It’s very exciting and shows how real it is to win,” he said.

The Big Spin instant game is an exciting $5 game that combines popular scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated spinning wheel. The OLG says it supports safe play and responsible gambling through its PlaySmart program.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Leslie St. in Sharon.
