Big lottery prizes were just won in these provinces in Canada

Two big lottery prizes were won in Canada for Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) told INsauga.com that the $5 million classic jackpot went to a ticket sold in British Columbia.

It marks the 10th time that the classic jackpot has been won in 2025.

Meanwhile, the guaranteed $1 million gold ball prize was won in Ontario, the OLG said.

Here is a look at the winning numbers for the Wednesday, April 23 Lotto 6/49 draw, according to the OLG website:

Classic jackpot: 09 15 22 24 40 49 Bonus 25

Gold ball draw ($1 million prize): 48116135-02

Encore: 0980994

Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw has the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as the gold ball jackpot at $54 million, or the guaranteed $1 million prize.

The last time the gold ball jackpot was won was on Feb. 5 by a ticket sold in western Canada. The prize was $30 million.
