Big lottery jackpot and other large prizes were just won in Canada

A $5 million lottery jackpot, as well as multiple other big prizes, were just won in Canada.

The winners are from Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation told INsauga.com that the $5 million classic jackpot was won in Western Canada.

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation’s website says that ticket was sold in Calgary.

There were multiple big winners in Ontario as well.

The guaranteed $1 million prize from the gold ball draw was won by a ticket sold in Northumberland County, the OLG said.

Two tickets also matched five out of six numbers plus the bonus in the classic draw to win the second-place prize. They were sold in Mississauga and Simcoe County and are now worth $105, 901.80 each.

A $1 million Encore prize was won in Richmond Hill and a ticket sold in Wellington County won $100,000 on Encore, the OLG said.

Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw has the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as the gold ball jackpot at $34 million, or the guaranteed $1 million prize.
