Beer festival planned for Burlington has been cancelled

A beer festival slated for Burlington this weekend has been abruptly called off.
Organizers of the Burlington Winter Beer Festival say three vendors pulled out of the show making it difficult to carry on.
The festival was supposed to take place today and tomorrow (March 8 and March 9) at the Holiday Inn Burlington Hotel & Conference Centre on South Service Road.
“This has reduced the participation levels below what we believe is a positive experience for our guests.,” a statement on the festival’s website read. “We apologize for any inconvenience that this decision may cause.”
Refunds will be sent to those who paid in advance for the event.
This would have been the ninth year for the festival which brings brewers and other vendors to the event to promote their latest creations and offerings.
