Beer festival on tap for Burlington connoisseurs

Beer, beer and more beer.
Those are the words that connoisseurs of the beverage love to hear the most.
And they will be hearing a lot about it — and sampling some too — as the Burlington Winter Beer Festival returns.
Brewers from across Southern Ontario will take part in the show by offering some of their latest creations and showing how beer can be paired quite nicely with various foods.
“There has been an explosion of entrepreneurs and craftsmanship bringing a huge variety of tastes and smells that we can savour, learn about, and take home to our families, friends, and loved ones,” say organizers of the event. “Beer is as much a part of Canada as hockey is.”
The show takes place March 8 from 4 to 11 p.m. and March 9 from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Burlington Hotel & Convention Centre location at 3063 South Service Road.
