Beef back ribs and chicken are on the grill at new Mississauga restaurant

A Portuguese grill restaurant that captured the taste buds of many people in Montreal has now opened a location in Mississauga.
Grillado’s Mississauga, which offers a varied menu featuring tasty grilled beef back ribs and chicken and “everything Halal,” held its grand opening on Christmas Eve.
It’s located at 5165 Dixie Rd., Unit 2B.
“Grillado’s is a casual dining restaurant that focuses on grilling the very best Portuguese chicken with a South African twist,” restaurant owners say on their website. “That twist is our variety of world famous Peri Peri sauces.”
Peri Peri is a hot pepper originally produced by Portuguese explorers in Portugal’s former Southern African territories, particularly Mozambique and its border regions with South Africa.
It eventually spread to other Portuguese domains.

Grillado’s menu features a few popular appetizers, a variety of chicken sandwiches, pitas and wraps (including vegetarian options), many Peri Peri options and several salads.
A wide range of sides are also on tap.
For dessert, Portuguese custard tarts, ice cream and cake are offered.
