Battle Results! Best Cupcake Battle: Mississauga vs. Brampton
Have you been in the mood for a cupcake and haven’t been quite sure where to go to get one? Since there is no shortage of selection in the GTA, the choice as to where to dine can be a tough one--especially when places that serve delicious cupcakes are plentiful across cities.
When it comes to the perfect cupcake, every ingredient counts. Is the cake soft and moist? Is the icing rich and creamy? Are the flavour options endless?
Both Mississauga and Brampton are known for their respective food scenes, and both offer a ton of excellent cupcakes joints--but only one city can have the absolute best hotspots.
What places were competing?
If you're in the mood for a sweet treat, Mississauga has no shortage of options. People who are looking for a sugary pick-me-up can stop by a relatively new patisserie in Port Credit that's aptly named Sweet Philosophy, another Port Credit gem--located right in the thick of things in the Lakeshore and Hurontario area--known as the Social Cupcake, the brand new Food District hotspot that is Bake Three-Fifty, the creative and always reliably delicious Dolled Up Cupcakesin Meadowvale Town Centre and our number one pick, the long-standing and ever-popular Swirls in Streetsville. Although Swirls is our number one pick, there is no shortage of cupcake hotspots in Mississauga.
Those in the mood for indulgent treats in Brampton have a ton of nearby options to choose from. Those in the mood for a cupcake can check out a unique and popular bakery called La Cakery, the hidden--but more than worth finding--Kraving'z Bake Shop, the adorable (and tasty) Dolcezza Custom Cakes, the locally-famous and always satisfying Cristina Tortina's Shop and our number one pick, the cubecake specialists known as Occassions Cookies and Cakes. Although Occassions is number one on our list, Brampton is a great place to be if you're craving a cupcake.
