One of the largest community events in Durham Region this summer is heating up on July 10-12 at Whitby’s Victoria Fields.
With the Oshawa Ribfest on pause in 2026, the Whitby Ribfest will be the place to sink your teeth in mouth-watering ribs and other barbecued goodies, bringing together live music, award-winning rib vendors, family programming, a beer garden and charitable fundraising to Whitby’s south end.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise, Ribfest features Canadian rock legends the Trews on Friday night, alongside Feral Minks, HIGHTEENS, Bad Thieves and Wep.
While thousands attend for the music and food, Whitby Ribfest exists primarily as a Rotary fundraising initiative, with proceeds helping support community programs and charitable causes throughout the region.
With Oshawa Ribfest absent this year, organizers anticipate attendance in the tens of thousands over the three-day event.
