Bank robbery suspect in Hamilton sought by police

The police in Hamilton are asking for public assistance with identifying a suspect who robbed an east-end banking institution in the spring.

Hamilton Police say that on Friday, May 6, shortly after 1 p.m., a lone male suspect entered a banking institution in the of Kenilworth Ave. N. / Barton St. E. area of the city. They obtained an unknown amount of Canadian currency and fled on foot eastbound.

The suspect (pictured above) is described as a male of medium build and height. The suspect was clad in a dark-blue Nike hooded sweater, blue jeans and black shoes, and had a red backpack.
