Bank in Georgetown robbed by pair of men

A bank in Georgetown was robbed by two young men early on Friday evening, says the Halton police.

At 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, two masked suspects entered the CIBC branchlocated in the Georgetown Market Place (280 Guelph St., Georgetown). The Halton Regional Police Service says they confronted bank employees and demanded cash. No weapons were seen and no one was injured during the robbery.

The suspects fled from the bank on foot and into the mall. Police are reviewing video footage from the robbery.

Both suspects are described as: male, non-white, in their early 20s and about five-foot-four with slim builds. Both wore black clothing and hoodies. Both suspects also wore dark blue surgical-style masks.
