Comedian Derek Edwards will be bringing the laugh to St. Catharines this Sunday.

No less of an expert than Rick Mercer has declared comedian Derek Edwards to be the “funniest man in Canada.”

With his deadpan delivery style, Edwards, a 30-year veteran and “Just For Laughs” regular, will land on the stage in Milton at the FirstOntario Arts Centre on Saturday (April 29) at 7:30 pm and again at Partridge Hall in St. Catharines’ FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre on Sunday (April 30), also at 7:30 pm.

As part of his “In Praise of the Ostrich” tour, Edward will pull his head out of the sand to present his wry commentary on the influx of pot stores, self-driving cars, gambling tips, the challenge of staying youthful… and even dressing warm.

Performing everywhere from St. John’s Newfoundland to the Las Vegas Strip, Edwards is considered among comedy’s elite as his own peers have named him a four-time nominee and winner of Best Standup Comic at the Canadian Comedy Awards, as well a multiple Gemini nominee for Best Performance in a Comedy.

Opening the show will be local musical and vocal artist Brad Battle. For Milton tickets, they can be found HERE and for St. Catharines tickets, check HERE.

In the meantime, here’s Edwards explaining why you don’t tell even your best friends your biggest fears.
