The average price for a house in Brampton is projected to increase by eight per cent in 2022.

According to a recent report from RE/MAX, the average price for a house in Brampton jumped from $869,107 to $1,085,417—an increase of 25 per cent in 2021.

It was the biggest increase in Peel Region, as well one of the biggest in the GTA—only Durham Region saw a bigger increase in average price.

However, while the average home price in Durham increased by 29 per cent, it was still lower overall than the average price in Brampton.

Further, the average price of $1,085,417 in 2021 in Brampton was higher than in both Mississauga and Toronto.

Moreover, the report suggests that the price will increase by another eight per cent in 2022, which would put the average cost for a home at $1,172,250.

When it came to sales, 10,578 homes sold on Brampton this past year, which was an increase of eight per cent from 2020.

In 2022, that number is projected to increase by only two per cent.
