Attempted Murder Charge Laid in Brampton Shooting

A suspect is facing an attempted murder charge following an early morning shooting in Brampton on Tuesday.

In addition, “there are a number of firearms-related charges,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Bancroft Wright.
The incident unfolded at a townhouse complex off Fleetwood Cr., in the Bramalea Rd. and Clark Blvd. area at 12:48 a.m.
The victim, a 36-year-old Brampton man, “sustained a gunshot wound,” said Wright.
“He was transported to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.”
The victim is currently listed in stable condition.
A male suspect left the scene in a vehicle and was arrested in Toronto around 3 a.m.
A gun was recovered, investigators allege.
The suspect is appearing in Brampton court for a bail hearing today.
