Three Toronto men now face numerous charges after an attempted late-night kidnapping of two young women off the street in Mississauga earlier this summer.
Eleven days after arresting one suspect, Peel Regional Police said on Friday they located two other men they believe are connected to the June 24 attempted abduction in the Streetsville area of Mississauga.
The two men were identified and arrested earlier this week, police said in a news release.
Investigators said three masked men chased and then tried to grab the two women as they walked near Britannia Road West and Queen Street South just before 10:30 p.m. on the late-June night.
Police said one of the would-be kidnappers may have been armed with a gun while another was possibly armed with a knife.

A passerby intervened and the victims escaped without physical injuries, police said, adding the masked men fled the area in a light-coloured Audi SUV that headed westbound on Britannia Road West.
Subsequent investigation led police to the first arrest on Aug. 18.
Police said the two women were initially approached by three men who tried to lure them into the luxury SUV. The men then gave chase to the women before the passerby intervened.
Waleed Khan, 26, of Toronto, is charged with 33 offences related to kidnapping, firearms, auto theft and more, police said.
At the time of his mid-August arrest, Khan was on probation for prior violent offences and prohibited from possessing firearms, police said. He has since been released with an ankle monitor, they added.
Fahad Sadaat, 19, and Osman Azizov, 18, both of Toronto, each face various charges related to kidnapping, firearms and other alleged offences. They remain in custody pending a bail hearing, police said.
The search of a home earlier in their investigation led police to the seizure of two loaded prohibited firearms — an AR-style rifle capable of automatic fire and a pistol, both equipped with prohibited high-capacity magazines along with over 110 rounds of ammunition, according to investigators.
Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact police at 905-453–2121, ext. 1133, or Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
